When you’re a trusted name in farming systems, your website has to work as hard as you do. That’s why Riverine Plains – an independent farming group that’s been a go-to for grain and mixed farmers in northeast Victoria and southern NSW – decided to overhaul their website. Their goal? Create a modern, flexible platform that keeps their members connected, informed, and supported.

Strategic approach

The team at Riverine Plains wanted a site that wasn’t just functional – it needed to feel like home for their community.

The old website wasn’t cutting it. It felt clunky and outdated, and it couldn’t keep up with the dynamic content Riverine Plains needed to share. Plus, managing memberships was more of a headache than it should have been, with lots of manual admin slowing things down.

We spoke with internal stakeholders from the organisation and conducted research. Whether it’s sharing research insights, announcing events, or creating a space for farmers to access tools and resources, the new website had to deliver.

Working with an existing brand identity, we started by addressing the website architecture, and then added functionality to make it easier for everyone – from farmers in the field to the admin team behind the scenes.

UI & UX Design

Fresh, flexible design: We created a library of 28 modular templates so the site can flex and grow. Whether it’s a blog post, an event page, or a member dashboard, the templates make creating content a breeze.

A smarter membership portal: Now, farmers, affiliates, students, and partners all get their own tailored experiences. From personalised events notifications to profile management, everyone gets what they need, right when they need it.

Seamless integrations: With HubSpot CMS Enterprise as the backbone, the site now links up with Stripe for payments and Eventbrite for event sign-ups. Automated workflows handle membership renewals, approvals, and cancellations like clockwork. New email marketing templates were also created to boost engagement.

User-first experience: The site looks great on mobile and desktop, with clean navigation and fast-loading pages to keep users engaged.
